Think About Going Pro

Well, maybe just get a taste of what it’s like to train like a pro at these spots:

Soak Up the Olympic Atmosphere

  • Two spots in Olympic City USA — aka Colorado Springs — get you pretty close to gold: The U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum showcases the history of Team USA with interactive exhibits, and tours of the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Center show off where many athletes train for the Games.
  • Boasting its own glorious athletic lineage, Steamboat Springs has sent 98 of its residents to the Olympics over the years — more than any other American town. Take the Olympic Heritage Tour at the Tread of the Pioneers Museum to learn their winning ways.
  • With three Olympic gold medals and 13 Winter X Game titles under his belt, it's safe to say that Shaun White is one of the best snowboarders in the world. Watch the elites duke it out with sick half-pipe tricks and skills at his brainchild — The Snow League competition — in Aspen.
