Our favorite traveler review
“We picked Louisville as a place to stay for my 55th birthday due to its proximity to Boulder and Red Rocks Amphitheatre. We had never been to Louisville, but quickly fell in love with the town and this adorable farmhouse cottage. It's so well decorated and the perfect place to stay for two couples. Everything is within walking distance, so we tried several great restaurants during our four-night stay and enjoyed the farmers market on Saturday. Each couple had their own bedroom and bathroom, with the kitchen in the middle, for ultimate privacy. The cottage is well equipped, super clean and the beds were comfy. Nicole was a great host, providing detailed communications. And the booking and check-in process was simple. We would love to come back someday!” — Debra D., Vrbo
Things to see & do nearby
In Louisville, you’ll find favorites like Moxie Bread Co, serving up authentic, homemade pastries made from locally sourced flour and heirloom grains. At The Waterloo, grab a seat near the bar or enjoy a meal with a view of town from the rooftop patio. The menu offers mouthwatering eats like cauliflower tacos topped with chili-lime sauce and pineapple slaw and creamy, three-cheese pasta mixed with carne asada.
On your way back, don’t forget to stop by the Louisville Historical Museum. This Old West-style building contains historical artifacts from the area's rich past, dating back to its founding as a mining community in 1877.
Boulder, a world-renowned outdoor-enthusiast destination, is just a 15-minute drive (or bus ride) west of Louisville. The Flatirons — a series of jagged, rusty-hued rock formations — are one of the area’s leading attractions.
However, Boulder isn’t just for outdoor enthusiasts. Make your way to Pearl Street for boutique shopping and an unforgettable dining experience. Bartaco, one of our personal favorites, will have you feeling tropical with its selection of savory tacos, fruity cocktails and lush plants around every corner.
