Coolest amenity
That would have to be Frisco itself. The hotel gets a walkability score of 78 out of 100 on Tripadvisor and that means there’s no need to drive to any of the nearby restaurants and boutique shops. Even in the throes of hunger, you’ll be able to manage the 15 steps to the Butterhorn Bakery & Cafe’s fabulous mountain berry fruit pies or the scrumptious bourbon bison meatloaf at The Uptown on Main.
Best room to book
The King-Queen Apartment brings new meaning to home away from home — with soft-and-comfy couches and lots of golden pine. It comes with its own private entrance and deck (with mountain views, of course) — plus the expansive full kitchen promises marble countertops, a full-sized refrigerator and a dishwasher.
Top sensory experience you’ll encounter
Warm toes, cold nose — what’s not to love? A winter stay isn’t complete without hanging out in Hotel Frisco’s outdoor hot tub to relive the day’s adventures as flurries dust your shoulders.
Our favorite traveler review
“Most accommodating staff! Very customer service focused. Old-school friendly vibe from the staff that you just don’t see anymore. Walking distance to everything on downtown Main Street. My son loved the old-fashioned physical key they give you for your room. Only a 10-minute drive to Copper Mountain. Definitely coming back.” — Chris G., Tripadvisor
Things to see & do nearby
Frisco’s proximity to all types of mountain fun makes it a desirable year-round destination. Family entertainment is located just 2 miles down the road at the Frisco Adventure Park where you’ll race down the multilane tubing hill, enjoy a dinner sleigh ride and make like a bunny with lessons on the beginner ski-and-ride hill.
Or, explore the nearby Frisco Nordic Center’s extensive network of groomed cross-country ski and snowshoe trails. We’d also be remiss not to mention (again) the six nearby ski resorts: Arapahoe Basin Ski Area, Breckenridge Ski Resort, Copper Mountain, Keystone Resort, Loveland Ski Area and, of course, Vail.
In spring and summer, you’ll love getting doused on area whitewater-rafting adventures. Or, rent kayaks, canoes, stand-up paddleboards and powerboats at Frisco Bay Marina (located at the east end of town) for a day on Lake Dillon’s waters. Need a recuperation day? Take the fam to the Frisco Historic Park and Museum, which offers a glimpse at local history and a model train exhibit.
