The Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad provides a historical Colorado experience on a route built in the late 1800s to serve a silver-mining district. The train departs Antonito, Colorado, and then weaves across the Colorado-New Mexico border 11 times on its way to Chama. As it winds through parts of the state cars can’t get to, the Cumbres & Toltec offers access to views of landscapes, flora and fauna that you can’t get elsewhere.
